<a> classic SF Tour <a>

The "Classic San Francisco" walking tour highlights the city's oldest neighborhoods while telling the story of its transformation from tiny Mexican trading post to "Emporium of the Pacific." Traversing Nob Hill, Chinatown, Russian Hill, Jackson Square, North Beach, Telegraph Hill, etc., the experience, both urban and botanical, offers breathtaking views of the San Francisco skyline and surrounding Bay Area, along with fresh perspectives on many of the city's most famous landmarks. Three hours in duration, with occasional public transportation (transit costs are included), the tour is geared to both first time, and seasoned visitors. It's the perfect start to a memorable day in San Francisco.

RECOMMENDED ITEMS TO BRING

- Water

- Sunscreen

- Snacks? (Tour ends around noon, but sometimes runs a few minutes late, so best to be prepared food and energy-wise. Note however that the tour ends nearby many dining options.)

- Extra layer of clothes (windbreaker, hat, etc.)

- Adequate walking shoes (i. e. no flip-flops, etc.)

* Due to the topography, and steady pace of the tour, babies and/or strollers are not recommended, and actually discouraged. While buses handle all major uphill sections of the tour, there is the walking of one or two blocks uphill, plus three or four staircases up. Likewise, there is one section that is a steep, descending staircase for two blocks, so please be forewarned. Ultimately, if you walk regularly, or get your daily recommended exercise, you will have no problem with the physicality of this tour.
